This Privacy Policy describes how TRAKD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use the TRAKD mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide a better experience for our users. The types of information we collect include:

AInformation You Provide to Us

Account Credentials

When you sign up or log in, we collect your authentication details (e.g., email address, name) via our authentication provider, Clerk.

Fitness & Health Data

We store logs, profiles, meals, workouts, daily logs, journal entries, weight, and fitness targets that you manually input into the App. This data is stored in our database hosted on Supabase.

Voice Logs

If you use our voice logging feature, the App may access your device's microphone to capture audio recordings or transcripts of the data you choose to log.

BInformation Collected Automatically

Device Information

We may collect basic device metadata, such as your operating system, device model, and performance logs.

Push Notification Tokens

To send you huddle alerts and fitness notifications, we collect and store an anonymous device push token using Expo Push Services.

CDevice Permissions

To enable certain features, the App requests access to specific device services:

Camera Access

Used solely to scan barcodes for food item lookup.

Microphone Access

Used solely for voice logging features.

Notifications

Used to deliver real-time team updates, huddle nudges, and goal achievements.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain your TRAKD profile and features.
  • To process food database lookups (including third-party services like FatSecret).
  • To facilitate shared "Huddles" (social and team-based fitness accountability features) where members can see updates you choose to share.
  • To deliver push notifications (nudges, targets).
  • To secure your account and prevent unauthorized access.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with third parties in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We share necessary credentials/tokens with providers like Clerk (auth), Supabase (database hosting), and Expo (push notifications) to run the App.

Huddles (Social Features)

If you join a Huddle, specific logs and achievements (like sending/receiving nudges) will be visible to other members of that Huddle.

Legal Compliance

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Security and Retention

Your authentication data is securely managed by Clerk, and your operational app data is stored securely in Supabase utilizing Row Level Security (RLS) policies. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

Account and Data Deletion

We respect your privacy rights and provide a direct way to delete your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App:

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account.
  3. Confirm the action.

Once confirmed, we immediately initiate the process of deleting your profile, daily logs, meals, workouts, huddles membership, and authenticated account credentials from Supabase and Clerk.
